These terms govern your use of parentready.ie. Please read them before using the service. By using the site you agree to them.
1. Who we are
parentready.ie is operated by Giacomo Guerrini (trading as parentready.ie), Apt. 22, Block 1, Island Key, East Road, Dublin, D03 CA33, Ireland (VAT IE2252072LA). Contact: info@parentready.ie.
2. What parentready is, and is not
parentready is an independent information navigator. It helps you understand and sequence common administrative steps for new parents in the Republic of Ireland, and links you to official sources.
It is not a government service, and it is not operated by, affiliated with or endorsed by the Government of Ireland, Revenue, the HSE, the Department of Social Protection or any other public body. It does not provide legal, financial, tax, medical or other professional advice, and it does not make any eligibility or payment decisions. Those decisions are made solely by the relevant official bodies. For the steps in this service those are the Department of Social Protection, the Health Service Executive, the Workplace Relations Commission and the Department of Children, Disability and Equality; depending on your situation, Revenue and the Civil Registration Service may also be involved. Citizens Information publishes guidance but decides nothing. Always confirm your own situation with the official service.
3. Accuracy and official sources
We work to keep the information accurate and current and to cite official sources, but rules, rates and deadlines change. We do not warrant that the content is complete, current or error-free, and it may be simplified. Where our content and an official source differ, the official source prevails. Any dates or estimates the app generates (for example an estimated due date from weeks of pregnancy) are planning aids only and are not medical or legal advice.
4. Eligibility
The service is intended for adults navigating parent administration. The guidance currently covers births in the Republic of Ireland; other routes are out of scope.
5. Your data
The free planner stores your answers and progress in your browser on your device; we do not receive them. You are responsible for the device you use. Clearing your browser storage, or using “Delete my journey”, permanently removes this information.
If you buy Premium, you create an account and, with your consent, your plan is saved to that account so it syncs across your devices. You can delete your saved plan, or ask us to delete your account, at any time. What is and is not stored, and how, is set out in our Privacy Policy.
6. Free and Premium
The planner is free to use. You do not need an account for the free planner, and your answers stay on your device.
parentready Premium is an optional one-time purchase of €9.99 that unlocks additional software features (for example step-by-step guidance, pre-filled employer letter templates, calendar export, a private view-only link so you can share your plan with your partner without them needing an account, and a plan saved to your account so you can return to it on any device). To buy and keep Premium you create an account with your email.
Premium is sold through Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record: it takes the payment, issues your receipt, and handles refunds and payment disputes. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for your 14-day right of withdrawal and how refunds work.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service, for example by attempting to disrupt it, access it unlawfully, scrape it at scale, or reproduce it as your own product. You may use your own plan and its exports for your personal, non-commercial purposes.
8. Intellectual property
The parentready name, design, and the original text and structure of the guide are owned by Giacomo Guerrini (parentready.ie) or its licensors and are protected by law. Links and references to official sources remain the property of those bodies.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under Irish law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud), and your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
Subject to that, the service is provided on an “as is” basis for general information, and to the fullest extent permitted by law we are not liable for any loss arising from reliance on the content, from missed deadlines, or from decisions made by official bodies. You are responsible for verifying your situation with the relevant official service.
10. Third-party links
We link to official and other third-party sites for your convenience. We are not responsible for their content or availability, and a link is not an endorsement.
11. Changes
We may update the service and these terms. Changes take effect when posted here with a new version and date. If we make a material change, for example introducing paid features, we will make that clear before it applies to you.
12. Governing law and complaints
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the Irish courts have jurisdiction. To raise a complaint, contact info@parentready.ie first and we will try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission, or, if you live in another EU country, the European Consumer Centre Ireland.
